The player controls Atsu, a female samurai, and takes place around Mount Yōtei during 1603. It is the sequel to their 2020 game Ghost of Tsushima. It is set to release in 2025 for PlayStation 5.
Ghost of Yōtei centers around the theme of "underdog vengeance", following the female protagonist Atsu (portrayed by Erika Ishii). The story is set in 1603, 329 years after the events of the first game, and takes place around Mount Yōtei on Japan's Hokkaido island. Developers have noted that players will have more control over Atsu's narrative and choices compared to Ghost of Tsushima.

If you ever wanted to be a samurai, play this game. If you like movies like Seven Samurai and Ran, play this game. If you like good video games, play this game. If you want an action packed story that muses on the ethics of war, the value of honour and the fickleness of mankind, play this game.
Probably the cleanest, most optimized and smooth port to PC I've ever played. Loading a continued game literally takes 5 seconds. (Very) occasional bugs, but nothing that breaks the game. Sword fighting is fun and the boss battles are intense on hard+. The map is huge; keeping you busy for crazy hours. If you enjoy samurai games or just like fighting, then this game is for you!
